Meet the Member - Erik Rodeneiser

Erik Rodenhiser – Gallows Hill Theatre

Q) Tell us a bit about you and what you do?

A) I am an actor/entertainer who grew up in the glorious city of Salem. Wanting to be part of the tourist industry but stick with my theatrical roots,  I decided to open up a tourist attraction that meets both the needs of the tourist industry in Salem and the needs of the actor within me!

Q) What do you love the most about Gallows Hill Theatre?

A) The thing I love most about my business is that I can keep it fresh and new for both the tourist and myself by continually tweaking and upgrading the show and the events at Gallows Hill. I never get bored because there’s always something new!

Q) How does Gallows Hill Theatre contribute to the Creative Economy?

A) My business contributes to the creative economy by using the theater off-season for theatrical events. I also employ actors and entertainers who are looking to supplement their income and still use the skills that they love.

Q) What do you love the most about Gallows Hill Theatre?

A) It’s difficult to pick just one thing that I love about my business. It’s very satisfying for me because I get to be consistently creative, and knowing  that so many people enjoy what we offer makes me exceedingly happy!

Q) What’s the one thing people wouldn’t know about you or Gallows Hill Theatre?

A) One thing that people don’t know about the business is that initially it started off as something completely different – I actually changed the name of the business three times! Over the course of a few years I was able to reshape and reimagine what I was offering until it became something that I was entirely pleased with.
